Facial Trauma Surgery

Maxillofacial trauma encompasses any injury to the mouth, face, and jaw. These injuries require the specialized expertise of a Cranio-Maxillofacial surgeon not only to treat the physical damage but also to meticulously restore the patient’s facial harmony, bite function, and overall appearance. Dr. Aditya Singh utilizes advanced titanium micro-plating and 3D imaging to ensure a flawless recovery.

CONDITIONS WE TREAT

Comprehensive Trauma Management

Mandibular (Jaw) Fractures

Expert realignment and fixation of broken lower jaws using titanium plates to permanently restore proper dental occlusion (bite) and chewing function.

Orbital (Eye Socket) Blowouts

Delicate reconstructive surgery of the eye socket to prevent double vision (diplopia) and restore the aesthetic position of the eye using orbital mesh implants.

Zygomatic (Cheekbone) Fractures

Elevation and rigid fixation of depressed cheekbones to regain natural facial width, contour, and symmetry following severe impact.

Dentoalveolar Trauma

Immediate stabilization and replantation of knocked-out (avulsed) teeth and repair of fractured jawbone segments supporting the dentition.

Complex Soft Tissue Lacerations

Meticulous plastic-surgery grade suturing of facial cuts, lip tears, and intraoral wounds to ensure minimal scarring and aesthetic recovery.

Pan-Facial Fractures

Highly complex, multi-stage reconstructive surgery for patients involved in severe accidents where multiple bones of the face and skull are shattered.

THE PROCESS

3D Radiographic Imaging

Utilizing high-resolution CBCT and 3D CT Scans to map out the exact fracture lines and hidden bone displacements.

Virtual Surgical Planning

Creating a digital blueprint of the reconstruction, allowing Dr. Singh to pre-bend plates and execute the surgery virtually.

Frequently Asked Questions & Contact

What should I do immediately after a facial injury?
Apply a clean cloth to stop any bleeding and use a cold compress to reduce swelling. If a tooth is knocked out, keep it in milk or your saliva. Proceed to the emergency room or contact our clinic immediately.
Will there be permanent scars after facial fracture surgery?
Dr. Aditya Singh uses advanced minimally invasive techniques. Whenever possible, incisions are made inside the mouth or hidden within the natural creases of the face to ensure absolutely minimal to no visible scarring.
Do the titanium plates need to be removed later?
No. The medical-grade titanium plates and micro-screws used for facial bone fixation are completely bio-compatible. They are generally left in the body permanently unless they cause irritation or infection, which is extremely rare.
How long does it take to recover from a broken jaw?
Initial bone healing takes about 4 to 6 weeks. During this time, patients are placed on a strict soft or liquid diet. Complete functional recovery and remodeling of the bone may take a few months, strictly monitored by our team.
